Thing is, we happen to be in Hamilton, New Zealand, for a reason. The reason is Waikato University, where "there is no stopping you". (I could argue. Anyway.)
We had our first class today, and wow.
It's just a whole new experience after months away from classrooms, pens, paper and screenings. It was great, actually. It was like getting back to the time when I really enjoyed being there. I did enjoy being there. When the person in front of you is actually not worrying about being cool, intresting or understandable, when the only thing she's trying is to communicate something, that's when it works. When ideas start turning like great wheels, and you're suddenly into it. Concepts flow into your head and out again, shaped by memory and criticism, accepted or refused. They become something, they evolve. The can become an idea for a story, or a whole new and personal theory. It's amazing like thinking can work as a contagious virus, jumping from one brain to another. It's not about starting a discussion, 'cause that's just the expression of the whole concept. It's about really getting into it, even if just for one second. Tasting evaporated thinking.
